Fitness, Yoga, and More!
There are many different fitness options for pregnant women. As part of a healthy lifestyle, NOVA Natural Birth Center midwives recommend their clients stay active throughout their pregnancies. Whether from a structured class like prenatal Yoga, Pilates, Zumba, free-form working out at the gym, or even just walking, taking time to include fitness in your lifestyle can contribute to better circulation, appropriate weight gain, and a greater sense of wellbeing.
Yoga can teach you how breathe and relax in a way that will help you adjust to the physical demands of pregnancy, labor, and birth. By centering and focusing on your breathing, you can improve your quality of sleep, reduce stress, increase flexibility, and decrease aches and pain.
Join us for Prenatal Yoga classes taught by Vasanthi from Beloved Yoga, a certified prenatal yoga instructor. This is also a wonderful time to meet and share with other mothers! . Register for this class by contacting Vasanthi at firstname.lastname@example.org or contact us if you have any questions.
We are looking for certified prenatal instructors for Zumba and Pilates, as well as other fitness classes. If you are certified as a prenatal fitness instructor and would be interested in teaching at NOVA Natural Birth Center, please contact us!
